Designing for the Environment
The Earth is ever changing and has truly become a global economy. Issues such as pollution, global warming, overcrowding and availability of natural resources are more prevalent than ever before. Humans and the organizations we work in are at the center of the discussion. As we strive for better health and longer lives we must also be concerned with maintaining a healthy place to live for future generations.

Rothan Millwork wants to make this world a better place to live. We are passionate about passing our traditions of fine woodworking onto future generations. Due to the nature of our business we are extremely sensitive to the impact our products have on the environment and the people that use them. Rothan proudly promotes and uses environmentally friendly materials and processes in the fabrication of our products. We incorporate competitively priced materials such as formaldehyde free panels, lumber from sustainable forests, and water based finishes into our products. We work closely with our suppliers to locate new environmentally friendly materials such as panels made from bamboo or cycled newspapers, and we have taken great strides to educate ourselves on the processes of building “Green” and working on LEED accredited projects, reducing negative impacts on the environment.
